A Poetic Tribute - to Sir Jimmy Shand, MBE, MA

Here is a poem which Jimmy may have identified with as he observed the many weird and wonderful attempts at dancing to his music.

I'll bet he and the boys in the Band had some laughs!

The Shand Band often played for many of the RSCDS dances named in the poem.

Note: To find the meaning of the Scots words used in the Poem, there is a Scots Glossary on the Poetry of Scotland web site.
